Information you give us. Your name, email address, phone number, and any other details you submit when you create an account, list your services, or contact us.
Searches and enquiries. The category and pin code you search for, and the messages you send to professionals through the site.
Account data. A hashed password and session information created when you sign in.
Technical data. IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited, collected through standard server logs and cookies.

3. How we use your information

To show you professionals that match your search and pin code.
To create and secure your account, and to let you sign in.
To pass your enquiry details to the professional you choose to contact.
To respond to your questions, complaints, and support requests.
To detect fraud, abuse, and misuse of the platform.
To improve the directory and understand which categories and cities are in demand.
To send service messages and, where you have opted in, occasional updates.

4. When we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these situations:

With professionals you contact. When you send an enquiry, the details you provide are shared with that professional so they can respond.
With service providers. Hosting, database, and communication vendors who process data on our behalf under contract.
For legal reasons. When required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of BestPeople, our users, or the public.
As part of a business change. If the business is merged, acquired, or reorganised, information may transfer as part of that transaction.
